Our experiment showed the positive potentiality of a wiki-based approach to collaborative learning.
To better design the learning experiment, we submitted an online questionnaire whose results have been integrated with literature analysis. The aim of this research is to present some reflexions on an experiment of collaborative learning conducted with a group of adult learners in Katowice – Poland and based on the use of PBworks. For this reason, strategies and techniques that facilitate collaborative learning and help learners to achieve effective results are necessary. However, collaborative attitudes not always take place spontaneously in a group of learners. There is a wide consensus that collaborative learning is effective for adult learners since they can share their experiences and build knowledge together. We report and discuss the result of a survey conducted involving the students of Sport and Tourism management at the Akademii Wychowania Fizycznego im. This paper presents the first step of an ongoing investigation that focuses on the tourist preferences of university students. Accordingly, it is useful to analyse students' expectations to understand their preferences as a potential customer group. The increasing competitiveness in the global tourism market and the use of ubiquitous mobile connection to the Internet by young customers encourage tourism operators to invest more in e-promotion and e-resources, in order to increase their business.
